Privacy policy

Last updated: 30 April 2026. Renteradar.be sets no cookies and no equivalent identifiers. There is therefore no cookie banner. Below is exactly which data we do process and why.

1. Data controller

2. Data we process

Server logs. On every visit, Vercel (our hosting partner) records your IP address and user-agent. These logs are deleted automatically after 30 days and we use them only for security and debugging.

Vercel Web Analytics. We collect anonymized, aggregated visitor statistics via Vercel. No cookies. No personal identifiers. Session hashes are deleted after 24 hours. Hosting via Vercel Inc. (United States). Vercel does not process personal data of visitors.

The calculation form processes no data on the server. Every calculation happens in your browser. Nothing you enter in the form (start date, interest rate, loan type, outstanding principal) is sent to Renteradar.be or any other server, or stored.

3. Purpose and legal basis

• Logs and security: art. 6.1.f GDPR (legitimate interest).
• Analytics: no personal data, no legal basis formally required.

4. Retention period

• Server logs: 30 days.
• Analytics: as described in Vercel's privacy policy.

5. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, and portability of your data. You can also lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (DPA), Rue de la Presse 35, 1000 Brussels, gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit.be.

6. Minors

Renteradar.be is intended for adults evaluating a mortgage. We do not knowingly process data from anyone under 13. If you believe a minor has entered data, send us a message.

7. Third-party transfers

Vercel (hosting + analytics). No selling, no marketing sharing. No other parties. Data transfers to Vercel (United States) take place under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs), as provided for in Article 46 GDPR.

8. Cookies

Renteradar.be sets no cookies and uses no equivalent identifiers. Vercel Web Analytics uses a temporary, anonymous session hash that does not constitute a personal identifier under current interpretations of the ePrivacy Directive. We follow the Belgian Data Protection Authority's guidance on this point.

9. Disclaimer

Renteradar.be provides informational calculations, not credit advice or brokerage. We are not registered with the FSMA as a credit broker. For important financial decisions we recommend consulting your bank or an independent financial advisor.
